New to me E550

So Friday I finally settled my internal debate on either going with a W211 E63 or a W212 E550! I drove both of them and researched for a long time as well and settled on the E550. I loved everything about the E63 but realistically I would never drive the E63 to its potential.

I was so surprised by the power of the E550. Love it and will eventually tune it. Right now I am desperately craving an exhaust and some H&R springs.

Anyway, I spent yesterday painting the grill and fog light housings black. I hate chrome so eventually I will get rid of all of it.

Congrats. I am looking hard for the perfect e550 for me.

I had a w211 e63. Very fun car, but damn, the maintenance was brutal. Still haunted by the bill for brakes & rotors. Whew.

That's exactly what swayed my decision!

Anybody know of where to tune my car in the Miami area? Also a good exhaust shop?

Soon but let me tell you, I think I need to upgrade the brakes first! This thing is fast!!

Is there a way to check to see if this was tuned by previous owner?

Congrats, if I were you I would pay a visit to any dealer to ask them to pull the codes and vehicle history using the STAR DAS
It looks like a modded car judging by the exterior

such huge gains - 500lb-ft man O man...thats amazing.

also to the OP congratulations...I am constantly impressed with my E550 - headlights, orderless exhaust, POWER, quiet ride, turning radius! The list goes on. Coming from a 1998 BMW 5406sp, so there is a lot of new electronics to learn, and then turn off.

OH - drowsy warning, that is just uncanny. Happened to me at 11pm on a quiet highway - BING - coffee time. Love this E CLASS!
