2013 w212 - Replace with OEM, Repair or Upgrade to Aftermarket?
Hi everyone!
It's been a while - we've moved to Miami, where our MBs are much happier - but have gotten a few scuffs...
I'm asking advice on the following for my 2013 E350 w212 4matic:
A cone jumped out of no where on a highway, hit my front grill, and was pulled under my car a bit before disappearing. It left some damage (1 pic here, 2 other pics below)
... but the car runs well, although the horn sounds funny.
I'm still under warranty, but don't want to file an insurance claim unless I have to. Insurance in FL is crazy enough as it is.
Would y'all advise that I bring it to a dealership anyway and have them repair it? Bring it to aftermarket and have them do it? Look into going aftermarket and updating to a nicer front end? I also have a little hit on my back bumper cover, so maybe replacing both at the same time makes sense...
Are there other possibilities that I'm not considering?
Thanks a million for your input - I really appreciate it!!!

Welcome to Miami, we moved here last July as well. Still can't get used to the crazy drivers down here!! I would look at going aftermarket and keep your old bumper for when you sell it. Shop around in the meantime to get it fixed. Can't recommend anyone down here since I am new also

This may be a comprehensive claim which may not result in increased rate for you.
And from the first photo it looks like there could have been damage to the coils. It looks kind of bent in.

I'll have to look into that - Thanks thefisch! And yes...nicobaires, drivers are nutty here, but I grew up in NY/NJ with a lot of family & regular visits to Rome, so... My tolerance is high.
What do you think of the "daily drivers" down here...

I grew up in NY/NJ as well as in Argentina and work in Latin America so my tolerance is the same as yours, but the drivers here are oblivious and don't really care about anything!
And yes, the dailys down here are the best cars I've ever seen!
