I'm the proud new owner of a 2010 E500 Cabriolet (Australian model). E550 to my North American friends.

I love it. Low kms (22k), every conceivable option known to Mercedes Option Land, one owner, immaculate (except for the bird sht on the bonnet).



So, the VERY FIRST thing I try to do is stream audio. I've driven Toyota Corollas with better, easier, any dumb @ss can do it, integration;

But what is up with Mercedes? Are they planning on building a competitive smartphone to Apple? I've never seen a litany of bullsht patches, sticky tape and string fixes for technology that has been around since I was a lad:

i have the same yr model 207 and 212 as you, you cant stream audio unless you update your command through dealership. which may or may not cost you a few hundred aussie dollars depending on your relationship with your local dealer.

i had my 207 updated (for free) and streams music very well, only have to authorize it once (unless you change your phone everyday). i connected an old ipod on my "not updated" 212 from the glove box, bluetooth my phone with calls, works well for me.

no worries mate. our phones are 6 plus.

although some on here with same year model car as we have can stream music without updating the command. for some reason, ours has to be updated first. but its not a big deal fro me as i use my old ipod on my sedan and connect the call via bluetooth. works out pretty much the same.

That's what the adapters are [meant] to be for. And bluetooth connection? My 6 year old iPod can connect to a ueboom via bluetooth any day of the week.
