Can I put in a spare?

What modification would I have to do? parts to order? To carry a spare? I don't see the auxiliary battery? Is it because mine is a hybrid and there is a much bigger hybrid battery in th engine bay?

Car came with RFT 17" which was perfect for me as winter wheels this past winter. I am running 245/35/19 F and 275/30/19 Rear on non run flats continental all season DWS06. So far so good. thought I saw a thread people wanting to buy some spare tire compartment parts. Can't seem to find it now. Not sure if it's applicable to mine.

Interesting, there is no auxiliary battery in well. Anyway, EPC does not show any alternate spare tire panels available.

Thanks Konigstiger! what is that thing you shared in the pic?

What if you look up a E350 rear wheel drive or 4 Matic - did they have the option? and could I just use their spare tire options if they had one? Or that's not a good idea?

What you need to do is find a mini spare that would work to temporarily use when you need it. Then make sure it will fit into the opening in the trunk. Once you have that then you can buy a bracket that you can attach to the base of the trunk to hold the spare down. Hopefully you can find a spare that would work . You can then buy the bracket to hold the spare down. Good luck

The small picture on the left looks similar to my trunk with the Auxillary battery on the right side and spare tire in the center.
Not sure what Konigtiger posted in the other picture.

2015 E250 BT 4M
spare tire

My E250BT 4matic neither came with RFTs nor a spare. It came equipped with a TireFit kit (compressor + sealant).

When my wife and I do a long distance trip through remote areas, we always carry a full size mounted snow tire and wheel and place it behind the driver's seat or in the trunk. If a flat tire cannot be re-inflated with the TireFit kit, then I have a back up spare.
