I purchased my MB pre-owned and out of warranty. i was wondering if anyone on the thread has had a firmware update and if so, what was the cost from the MB Stealer. I do not believe, that a private service provider has the ability to update the firmware system.

By my local MB Indy shop when they purchased the computer systems to work on MB cars they will receive every update just as any MB dealer does. They also have full access to MB system to see your car's service history if your car was serviced by MB.

I was told this is required by law in the U.S.
