hi guys, so before i take it into the dealership just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem.

my 2012 e350s driver side windows auto up function doesnt work. auto down still works, passengers window still works for auto up and down too. also when closing the window on the drivers side after i let go of the switch itll go back down about an inch. lmk if this is a common problem. im 7 months out of warranty.

 

Did you roll up the window and hold the switch for a couple seconds to reset it?

 

Exactly. That's what I was thinking too. Do a software reset and most of the problems will be addressed. Don't know if there is a hardware damage or water seeping along the window glass.

 

Same issue here, only difference is mines is a 2011 and my does the same thing intermittently. Most of the time it auto rolls up and sometimes it doesn't work for a couple of days and only rolls up about an inch at a time until it gets to the top.

I'm having issues with my driver and front passenger side windows rolling down automatically a couple of inches as well - will try this reset method and report back.

 

Did the same and it worked. This was going to be something that I lived with but not anymore! Thanks Key for the helpful info!

Interesting never came across this in my 2010 manual printout..and just did a search in my manual and don't see it there.
