New 2014 E550 4MATIC Owner - Horrible Experience so far.
#26
I also just bought a 14 E550 cpo sight unseen and so far its been great. The only odd thing I have noticed is sometimes the Ebrake is on when I start it up. Does the ebrake auto apply itself on hills or something?

watch your feet as you enter and exit the car. It is very easy to tap the ebrake pedal and set off the ebrake light. I do it all of the time.

Congrats on the car. Once it's all settled, I trust you'll be a happy owner / driver.
With respect to your saga, I think it has as much to do with broken / exaggerated promises from the salesman / stealership than anything else. It doesn't sound like they're taking care of all the things that came up in the first few weeks of ownership. Who knows what happened to the car before you bought it, but it's a reminder to all of us to be patient during the inspection process. I personally like to bring a fellow car nut buddy for his extra set of eyes.
It sounds like it'll all work out one way or the other, so again I say congrats! Don't stress over the little $hi7; just enjoy your sleeper sedan!

My wifes 2014 GLK 350 does this, only it's more pronounced on the 3-4 upshift at slight throttle and 4-3 downshift in a situation like you mention. I flag it each and every time I drop if off for service figuring that if there is ever an issue it's logged appropriately, especially when it runs out of warranty. It's not consistent, but when it does happens it is pretty noticeable. Her 2013 GLK 350 did not do it (it had other issues and they bought it back).
