2017 CLS550
Thanks, I thought the CLS would be a beast with the V8 as it puts out around 400hp. You know, both the CLS and E550 would be as quick as I would ever need, maybe more than I need. The new Lincoln MKZ is coming out with an exclusive Lincoln motor that puts out 400hp/400lb torque. I may just have to wait to try that out as it should run many thousands of dollars less than MB. I know Lincoln is a step or two behind but the Black Label edition makes it a truly beautiful machine. It will never be a CLS but it will never reach $80,000 either.

The new MKZ copy Jaguar's grille and Audi A7's headlights but kept the old rear end. The rear end looks very dated compare to the front end.

I heard from people that the CLS is faster then the E slighlty. I've never driven one and can't remember the reasoning behind it. I assume the specs are all the same engine wise, so does it have something to do with weight difference?

For all intent and purpose, both car weights about the same and about just as quick, the CLS just looks faster, the E550 is more of a sleeper.

I chose the 2016 E400 over the E350 for the extra torque. Well worth the change in engines.

Ok gotcha.

It never quite made sense to me for it to be quicker. I see a few around my town and they actually look as if they weigh a little more than the E if anything. I agree the CLS styling does have a speedster type look to it more so then E's.
