my E220 is not fitted with the window package.
So my mirrors don't fold in, when I close my doors.
Now I was wondering, if the electrical wiring is already in place and if I replace the current installed switch by the switch which contains the button for folding the mirrors, my issue would be solved.
So, your assumption is the motors are installed in the mirrors, the wiring is all in place and M-B just shorted you the switch that makes it all happen?

I don't know, I'm seeking for that information.
But now you are talking about "motors" I'm starting to have doubts .

Hey at least you have to admire the guys optimism.
see links where I posted below. I haven't gotten around to do this. Essentially you'll need the mirror frame with the motor built-in. And you also need to get the correct one depending on your car's feature, like blindspot assist and park assist (side cameras)
then buy the switch block that has the button.
then code if you want it to auto fold when you lock the car.

Well, only wishful thinking that a switch can make it happen. You can still spend $1,000+ in parts and maybe another $300-$400 in labor and programming to get them up and running.
In that linked post above, lay3r3 says that the folded mirror protrudes about 2 inches less from car than the unfolded mirror due to depth of mirror housing. Maybe that's sufficient for tight city parking, but it seems more form over substance.
