4-Matic Transfer Case
Alright so thread #2 about a prospective purchase.
I'm still looking into getting an E250 BT and I am curious about the 4matic issues that seem to plague the W212. I know the W124 had a lot of problems with the 4Matic system, but the W210 and W211 seemed bullet-proof. Having said that, I've read a lot about bearing problems with the W212 transfer case, leading to costly repairs.
Most of the threads I've seen are on pre-facelift cars, did MB ever address this issue with the 2014+ and return to a reliable 4Matic system?
Thanks

I think the issues was mostly isolated to the 2010-2011 vehicles with the 7g-tronic transmission. 2012+ has a newer 7g-tronic plus transmission/transfer case that supposedly fixed this issue.

Interesting, that would be great if true. I wonder if the 2014's are still too few and far between with high mileage to really know if MB fixed this issue, or of it was along the lines of the W124 evap core that was bad for the entire run of production.
