Pano shade stop when door is open
Before I exit my (2014 e350) car, I would close the roof shade, and rear window shade. Both shades will continue to close even engine is shutdown or doors are open.
Even since dealer repaired and tighten some bolts on the pano roof, only the roof shade would stop when exit. The rear window shade would continue to close.
I made an appointment to the dealer. SA says this is normal. For those have pano roof, am I crazy or forgot the roof shade operation.

For my pano, the shade always stops when I open the door (with car off). However the rear shade will continue to close, even when the vehicle is off and the door is opened.
You have a newer model so maybe it is just different in your case.
