Yeah that's exactly the reason i needed it as well. What i do now is if i need to tilt down the driver side i do so and then after i am done parking i hit the memory button which has my configurations stored to bring the mirror back to my desired position instead of having to re-adjust it back up manually. So that works for me.

No tilt here

No tilt, but I'm going to try adjusting it down & see if it'll "learn" how to do it for the future.

like you, i never park on spots front to curb, and i always try to find a spot next to a post or the last spot to cut chances of door dings in half. but the passenger tilt is all i need. i can always adjust the driver side if i need to or maybe, easier and a lot faster, try glancing over your left shoulder.

You Aussies are so barbaric, glancing over your shoulder in a 2016 E class? You must have lost your mind sir, this is an outrage and i for one will not stand for it.

Have you tried adjusting the passenger mirror down to see the curb when the car is in reverse and the passenger mirror button is pressed in?

Yes, see pages 115-116 in your manual regarding dipping the mirror when in reverse.

Tried it and it didnt work. Do you have to have memory seats for this to work?

I want those folding mirrors on my 14. I think 15 & 16 models have side folder mirrors?

Follow the directions from the manual. When I did mine, I didn't think that it worked, but when I was out driving & put the car in reverse, I saw that the mirror tilted when I put the car in reverse. Good luck!!!

Th feature has been around before 2014, it is not only on '15-'16 models. But it is not a standard option.
