Oil for e350 2014

Hi I got an oil change and see the oil used is 0w30 Mobil ss

Is this correct oil?

Or should I go back and get it changed? I believe the correct one is 0w40

Thanks

I don't know what "SS" is, but I don't believe Mobil 1 0w30 meets MB 229.5.
Bring the car back and ask to see the specs for the oil. If it doesn't meet MB 229.5, have them replace it immediately and never go back there again.

SS is Super Synthetic, which is inferior to Mobil 1, and does not meet MB 229.5.

This is what you want: https://mobiloil.com/en/motor-oils/m.../mobil-1#0W-40

Also, there is no 0w30 Mobil Super Synthetic.

Supersyn was branding that Mobil 1 used many years ago. I hope that wasn't what was put in your engine as it would have been an old product.

A Google search for Mobil 1 Supersyn turned up a 2003 brochure.

My operator's manual specifies 0W40 or 5W40 synthetic complying with MB 229.5.

Grade is much less important than if the oil meets MB 229.5, which I don't believe M1 5W30 does. What is your oil change provider telling you?
