New member here with exhaust questions
Hi everyone, new member here. I have a 2011 e550 and I love it, but I want to cultivate that V8 sound a bit. Don't set me ablaze if I ask some questions that have been asked before. I've searched some on the forums but haven't come up with the exact info I need. I plan on running an x-pipe or straight pipes in place of the resonators with Flowmasters in place of the OEM mufflers, and need part numbers for the new mufflers so I have the correct tolerance/fitment. I have Flowmasters on two of my three vehicles and I love the sound. I want something louder and aggressive but nothing extreme or too raspy. Based on the info I have found online it looks like the exhaust diameter is 2.25, but I can't determine if the inlet diameter to the muffler is 2.25 also. So, if anyone here has replaced the OEM mufflers with Flowmasters I would appreciate some info and any input.
