Well obviously the Rain-X cracked the precision German engineering of your windshield; it was never designed for such rain repellence!

Just an update: as of yet, car has not combusted. The "low fluid" warning has stayed silent as well.

I still fear Toto Wolff calling to yell at me for this abhorrent behavior, but so far, nothing...
