9 inch wide wheels square setup
I am looking for 18 or 19 inch wheels for summer tires on 2014 E550 4matic and prefer a square setup with ability to run a 255/35 or 265/30 tire and a wheel that is under 25 pounds. If anybody knows the weight of the factory 18x8.5 et48 square setup amg wheels that would be helpful to know as well.
The only wheels I found that fit this requirement are:
OZ Leggera HLT 19x9 et42 weight 22 pounds
E63 amg wheels which are staggered unless 4 fronts are purchased
These OZ wheels are not cheap at roughly 450 a corner from tirerack and the E63 wheels make the OZ wheels seem like a bargain. I was looking to spend less than 1500 if at all possible.
What other options are out there? I had to use E350 or E400 to even bring those up as an option on tirerack.
Are people running 255/35 on the stock 18x8.5 amg wheels and not rubbing on anything. There are plenty of aftermarket 19x8.5 out there that fit the weight and budget with various offsets from 35 to 45 but was wanting to know other options and what people are running the E550's.

look at after market solutions like at Need 4 Speed and places like that. They have forged selections that weigh less that factory weights and are stronger than factory. They also did a thread if you search for it on wheel weights.

Has anybody tried TSW wheels on the w212? The TSW Bathurst comes in 18x9.5 or 19x9.5 with offset of 39. If a 9.5 is even possible on the front that seems to be about the right offset. I was thinking of buying 2 of these and mounting up 275/35-18 or 255/35-19 and doing some testing on the fronts. If there is no way or too much rubbing then just buy the 8.5's for the front and run staggered setup. I am learning towards the 18's due to cost and ability to run slightly wider tires with more sidewall. I will also need to pick up some hub centric rings as the center bores don't match up. I find it odd that 9inch wide wheels just aren't made in 18 or 19inch rims these days.

9.5, had it custom drilled. was running 245/30 at first. although i was rubbing a lil but it really bother me. had the chance to replace the fronts so i went with 225/30. (dont ask)

I am speechless on how that tire even fit on that rim. I fit it odd that the 245/30-20 tire rubbed though. Its the same width and height as the stock 18inch tire and I would expect you used more offset than the stock 18inch amg rim. Are you lowered and where did it rub?

thats why i said, dont ask. lol
offset is too aggressive its sticking out maybe a couple or more ml. so i rub on dips at high speed. like i said, nothing major but when i had the no choice but to change the front tyres, i opted for the thinner 255s.
no plans on lowering when i ordered the wheels so i went with higher offsets (stickin out 2-3 ml front and rear) to make it look as aggressive as possible.

Found another interesting option designed for audi/vw with a slighty better offset:
Neuspeed RSe10 18x9 et40 5x112 weight 21 pounds
I see no reason W212 couldn't run these as the pcd and centerbore is the same.

I just purchased Rohana RF2 19x8.5 all around in a 42mm for my 4matic
The RF2s in a 20x9 wheels weigh 24lbs so I'll try to weigh the wheels tomorrow as they should be a tad lighter but not sure how much - its certainly lighter than the 25lb threshold you're seeking. I got them on Amazon for a reasonable price

And for the tire size, I ended up going with the 255/35/19s vs the 245s to give it a tad more beefier look (tires are continental extremecontact DWS) as I think you advised on that one
