Rear Passenger Side Speaker Burned & Smoked
Something odd has happened to my bone stock 2014 E550 yesterday...
Long story short... my rear passenger door speak seems have somehow started heat up itself thats hot enough to actually see smoke while driving with radio on...
This happened while I was 2 blocks away from the MB dealer so I made my way to my service advisor less than 2 min and had him scratching his head for one of those WTF moment.
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone on this board???

I need to know what your dealer finds! I had the same problem recently, and after the rear passenger door, my stock rear subwoofer in the trunk did the same thing!

Dealer confirmed it was the speaker and he stated I might be the ONLY case this dealer has seen and it is a big MB dealer too...
Service Adv. said that he has zero clue on why and how it happened, but its replaced under warranty. I will try and find out more tomorrow when I pick up my ride.
I have found another 3-4 thread about the same problem. at least one vehicle was not a W212.
