Spring install, SoCal.

Can anyone recommend a reputable shop to install H&R springs and alignment.

I am leaning towards TAG Motorsports in Vista, CA, but that is a 140 mile drive from where I live.

Any shops in Riverside County or LA area maybe?

I know a few guys have had luck with Need For Speed Motorsports in Glendale (about 90 miles from you) in getting their spring/wheels combos done

I would've gone there had I needed springs installed but I lucked out and was happy with the ride height

714 Tires: good prices and speedy service. May be closer to you since they're north of Westminster/HB.

I didn't know 714Tires did springs also. They are the most careful people I have ever dealt with when it comes to mounting tires.

I will check out N4S also, thank you Elis.

Yeah, they do springs and coilover installs with reasonable rates; and afterwards, they can of course do your alignment.

Do they have a actual car lift? I don't remember ever seeing one there.

No problem, easiest would be to give them a call for an estimate. If they are relatively familiar with the work and reputable they shouldn't hesitate to throw a quote your way.

I did mine last week in my driveway, if you are handy, it is really not a hard job at all, the rears are super easy

714Tire first quoted me at $280 with alignment. They later called me to say it was a misquote because the rear springs required the whole suspension to come out.

Said it would be a 6 hour job. Does this sound right?

On mine, I only had to remove one bolt, the one that holds the rear control arm. Remove the bolt, drop the arm low enough to remove spring, reverse it to install. It was the easiest thing to do. Took me, in my driveway about 1.5 hours to do both by myself.

BTW, I was quoted $750 to do all of them.

Here are the two bolts circled in red. Just use a jack to lift up in place once you swap out the springs

Thank you for the photo.

The 13 and 15 model should be identical correct?

nicobaires 09-14-2016 08:03 AM

That I don't know

European Auto Source in Anaheim installed my H&R springs on my BMW and they really know what they're doing over there. Awesome guys over there! I just spoke with Moe this morning about doing springs on my Coupe. It needs a little something! :y
