2012 E550 coupe w212 plug wires stuck is there a special tool
This plug wire does not use the special 17mm wrench that was used on the older engine.
Is there a special tool or trick to remove the plug wires on a 2012 E550 coupe w212? I have tried prying and pulling gently using the tab on the end with no luck. I did not want to pull real hard for fear of pulling the wires from the boots.
Do you just use a standard wire puller and pull real hard?????
I have not seen a video online for this style of coil wire combination.
Anyone have experiance with these any info would be apreated

That is the wrong tool
Sunny slope the tool link provided is not the correct tool for this engine. The tool you linked too is for the older engine that has dual plugs and a metal plug wire ends.
The engine I have is a single plug all rubber plug wire found in the 2012 w212 e550 engine 278
Do I use a standard wire puller and pull real hard or is there a special tool to pull the boots?

Someone posted a DIY for m278 spark plugs, basically said that you have to pull and be ready to break one. Sucks if you don't order spares to have handy in case they break, you could be up a creek for a few days. I'm getting ready to do my plugs too. Just note that the plugs have to be "indexed" which consists of applying an exact amount of torque when installing the plugs. Don't apply any anti-sieze as this will affect the torque by lubricating the threads.

Hose pliers from Harbor Freight. Only $15 at the store.
After you take the two E8 Torx screws off the ignitor coil, use a pair of plier and grip the igniter tube just below the ignitor coil and pull straight out. Don't twist too much or you'll rip the rubber apart and forced to pay $13 each to replace. This works for my 2012 E550. The ones by the fire wall are the worst. If anyone's interested in a torque wrench recommendation try ...The Norbar 130101 NorTorque Micrometer Adjustable Torque "click" Wrench with 3/8" Push Through Ratchet Drive dual scale has an English Scale range from 10-45 Ft Lbs and Metric range from 12-60 Nm.
