I got this e 400 wagon in October. This is my 10 Benz. I've had c classes eclasses including a 2014 550 and an ml but frankly I like this wagon the best. Lots of room for golf clubs. In my previous sedan I could with a great deal of difficulty 4 sets in the trunk but not easily. The power in my 550 was great but this car has ample power for me as well as distronic with steering assist. So far extremely pleased and when clean is a real looker

The wagon is our first MB, coming from a bunch of BMWs and a few Lexus models.

I am happy to finally have BMW completely out of my life. The wagon still retains some regular-guy items like a dipstick, a temperature gauge, etc. 2006 and up BMWs rely solely on the computer to alert you if the oil is low or the engine is heating up.

Our country (EPA) is anti-diesel. California is even worse.

My e400 wagon is not a diesel but does get pretty good mileage especially on the highway. Yesterday I put slightly over 200 km on it and got 27 plus miles per US gallon and 33 imperial miles per gallon driving at highway speeds

We've had our 2013 E350 Wagon since June of this year, we've put on 13,000 KM, and are averaging 8.79 Litres/100KM, 32.5 Imperial MPG, 26.7 US MPG.

The best leg of I ever got was 685 KM at 7.13 Litres/100KM, 39.6 Imperial MPG, 33 US MPG.
Admittedly there was a tailwind, but impressive to me none the less.

I think I drive too fast to achieve any kind of respectable gas mileage.

How fast is too fast? I can still get 28mpg going 75 to 85 mph. Get 31mpg going 65-70mph.

2011 E350 4MATIC Wagon
I sold my Cadillac Escalade to purchase this. We love it. We have 4 kids so I have Thule hitch cargo and roof storage. This is my minivan/daily driver. Great car.

Man,

Your scale is a bit wide. You could get 28 mpg going 75 mph but surely not going 85 mph.

Oh well, I only get 25 mpg going 78 mph with my E550...it is so bad...😊😈😊...should have stick with the E350.......HELL NO!!!!

Not sure what you mean by wild. If I keep my speeds between 75 and 85 mph, Over several hundred miles, I get about 28mpg.

If I stick to the speed limit and keep my speeds between 65 to 70mph (i.e. 5mph over limit) I have hit 31mpg on several trips. This is with lugging 4 people and luggage for a week of travel.

What I mean is what I said. 10 mph speed difference makes a big difference in mpg at the speeds around 80 mph. I believe you can get 28 mpg going 75 mph but have a bit trouble believe you get even close to that going 85 mph.

I vary the speeds between 75 and 85 mph over several hundred miles (as road and traffic conditions allow) and after filing up the calculated average is right at 28mpg.

Repeatable over dozens of trips.

Sorry about a giant pic, didn't realize it would not be sized properly.

2017 E400 Wagon Black/Black MB Tex P1 & Sport Wheel Package
I am the "wife" and am on my 2nd wagon. Much prefer over any SUV. My husband and * have alternated MB's with who gets the wagon! Unique, elegant and hope to have for many years.
