Vibration or shuttering while driving
Hoping someone can help. Past month or so, I've been getting vibration while driving between 1700 - 2200 rpm, at any speed. It's most noticeable when climbing slight hills. Happens with me controlling the throttle or on cruise control. No check engine light. Nothing while in neutral or park. Fine under hard acceleration. Dealer can't find anything wrong.
I've looked through the forums, and haven't found anything.
Any ideas or questions that might help?

seems engine or drivetrain related, intakes ok?
transmission mount also to be considered ...

Is the vibration the same regardless of speed or does it increase/decrease with speed as well? (Does it seem rotational)?
How many miles are on the car? How are you sensing the vibrations? (steering wheel, overall), car feels like it is losing power, sound, etc).

This happened to me w/ another car & it had something to do w/ the car's computer chip. They had to re-calibrate it or reprogram it or something like that; but whatever they did, it ended up working. Not saying this is your problem, but may be possible?

I just tipped 100k. Its not speed dependent. I will feel it around 40, 50, 60. But as soon as I feel it, I can stop it immediately by letting off the accelerator (or flooring it).
There may be a low sound when it's occurring, but nothing really noticeable.
I can repeat it fairly consistently at those low RPM (1700-2200), especially while climbing a hill.

Check for codes via STAR. My e500 did the exact same at the same mileage. Conductor plate needed changing. STAR confirmed speed sensors in conductor plate were bad.

I have the same issue on my w220 2006 S 500. In the dealer shop right now for Transmission fluid change and screen change out. they are only guessing though
so the question i have is what are conductor plates, where are they, and what might be a cost to replace.

I have this issue, have posted on this before. Dealer has attempted to fix 9 times so far. MB corporate has been involved, they have extended the warranty to 7 years 70k. Next step will likely be a torque converter or new transmission.
It is very intermittent, very frustrating.

Finally got a test ride with the service foreman. He knew practically instantly that it was the torque converter and solenoid. Unrelated, he also recommends I have my transmission and motor mounts replaced. All covered under warranty, thankfully. Setup my appointment for next week.
