Love the illuminated star. Makes the car look classy. Would not own one without it. I personally do not like yellow gaudy fog lights below the headlights. Kind of makes the car Cheesy. But then to each there own.

Were I looking for a car, I would not pay extra for the illuminated star. But if I found the exact car I wanted and it had the illuminated star, I would not turn away from the car either. Not my cup of tea, but not a deal breaker. It's not like Audi's LED daytime running light design which really took off and has been used by many other manufacturers since.

The first time I saw it (on a CLA) I thought "Wow, he will probably double park in the front of the parking lot"
Not a fan. Seems overly pretentious, as if owning a MB didn't already put you in that category lol

That Mercedes three pointed star is already oversized, there is really no need to light it up to let people know you drive a Mercedes. What's next? The Mercedes logo will spin around with different color lights.

That's not the point! The facelift has led strip DRLs, which look modern. So, the LED star gives fresh look to prefacelifts, making it look modern.

It's just a Mercedes... It's not that special of a car or different from other cars like Lexus, BMW, Audi, Jaguar, etc... They are all trying to find a way to stand out
