Activate command screen to show camera in reverse
When the command screen is off and you put the car in reverse it does not turn on the screen so the rear camera is useless unless you leave the command on all the time. Anyone know if the software can be coded to turn the command screen on when the car is put in reverse? Do Mercs from other regions do this? I heard that older models use to do this feature.
Oh and this is not a discussion about how good or bad the reverse camera is. I have the full blown camera package. Quite adequate in normal lighting but we can all agree it has horrible wide dynamic range and low light sensitivity for the actual camera imager. WDR needs to be somewhere in the 100-120db range.

I don't think there is any way to activate the camera with COMAND switched off. I just leave it on and mute the radio for silence. Most of the time I have the NAV screen on display, then when I reverse it switches to camera.
