Looking to purchase.
So I'm looking to purchase a w212 model E class. I'm on the fence with a E550 4matic sport 2011 or a 2011-2013 E350 4matic sport. I have a price range of around 25k. Now my main question is, if my local benz dealer or carmax dealer don't have what I'm looking for can they and will they locate one and get it for me? I do understand I would have to pay shipping fee. But I do want to purchase from a dealer because I would like to have a extended warranty with the car. So any help or suggestions would be appreciated. And thoughts of models. Yes I do need a 4matic I live in New England. Connecticut to be exact.

I just turned in a 2014 E350 4Matic Sport for a 2013 E550 4Matic. The difference in performance is significant. If you want fuel economy the E350 wins hands down, about 5 mpg more than the E550, in my case. If either vehicle is CPO where you could buy an extra 2 years, or you can get a good aftermarket warranty would be a major factor IMO. Personally I am having a great time with the V8.

Yeah fuel economy isn't a breaking point in my eyes lol. I had a E500 for 3.5 weeks before a 23 year old woman ran a stop sign and totaled my baby. I fell in love with the performance of the car and the handling expecially at 130mph lol. The airomatic suspension was the selling point to me. I'm just picky at this point. I have ever a year of searching so not in any rush. I want a 2011 or 2012 E550 4matic sport white with black interior and MAYBE the peanut butter color seats. I would still like to have the airomatic suspension. I'm wondering if carmax will find me one in my price range and be able to purchase a aftermarket warranty with it. Cash talks and that's what I plan on going in there with 25 large.

I doubt your best deal will be at CarMax. From my experience, they seem to be the opposite.
Search for your exact options and fly/drive to get the best price. I have done this on my last two cars, a Lexus and a MB.

Yeah I have done some searching and noticed having the car I want specifically ether shipped or go and pick up will be cheaper then anything from carmax. I just want a good extended warranty of I can't find anything COP

Use the CPO search and plugin different regional zip codes to search larger areas.

After a few months of buying an E350, I asked my M-B dealer to look for an E550. They were able to locate one last month. Being able to CPO the car was a major reason why I bought it. In my case buying from a dealer where I live (Oregon) has it's benefit of no sales tax. I would look into seeing if any of your local M-B dealerships would look for what you want.
