nope, traded the car with it. the owner of the car yard kept the car to himself and never sold it.
Just to give you an idea...
go for the coilovers mate. if youre happy with the H&R now, you'll be ecstatic with the coils.

Stock...before the E63 look upgrade. car seems to be in stilts after we put 20s.
H&R...you can see why i was disappointed. had the reverse-rake which i hated.
When slammed...
you get the idea...get the coils, sell the springs. you may be able to get some money back for low mileage.

Super clean man, i love it. I dig your style. I am definitely getting the coilovers, im still researching which one from the 3 i listed. The price is not an issue, i just want the most comfortable ones.
By the way, H & R springs for $125 if anyone wants them. 2000 miles on them.

your car looks sexy now, she'll be gorgeous with the coils. not to mention peace of mind with the spring/engine compatibility. i reckon thats priceless.

So, guys help me. Lets take out the price factor, and please tell me which one from these 3, you guys haven't steered me wrong in the past. As of now, my top choice is the BC Racing because you adjust the ride height by extending and retracting the shock body. With the KW and Bilstein, you have to compress the spring in order to lower the vehicle. I think this is huge. No matter how low you go you will have the full spring which i think is a huge plus.
1. BC Racing
2. KW Street Comfort
3. Bilstein B16 PSS10
And is it true that we cannot adjust the rear camber on the W212 ?

the springs are gonna compress if you lower the car no matter what brand you get.
its just that the springs are rated to withstand a certain weight and compression tolerance, hence they put in the max lowering in the specs. ie, lowering from 1-2.5 inches. so by law of physics, press the springs down (or lower the car more) and it will compress.
id say get the cheapest one. its more than enough to do the job. no need to waste your money buying better brand name especially if its just for dd.

Hey man if i cant slide it during Christmas, i might not get it for a while lol.
Yes, the diesel is obviously a DD, but it handles like a dream, and i can only imagine how better it is going to get with the coils.
Does this make sense because im just guessing. Im fearing that the BC Racing will be very stiff because the spring setup is so much closer to each other which one would guess should result in a stiffer spring. The KW and Bilstein, the springs coils are set further apart and should be more comfortable / slight bouncy . Does that make sense?

it does actually. but thats one advantage of coils, you can adjust the dampening settings.
no matter what you do, the ride will definitely change. but from my experience, it was a change for the better. or maybe im just convincing myself as the car looked nice i didnt mind the ride at all. lol

Ok, so ive been talking to this highly reputable shop in Germany for about a week now and they are offering me the KW Variant 1 coilovers rated for my engine. With these the dampening is set and you can only adjust the ride height. 1.0" - 2.3". I think im okay with not adjust the dampening, $1500 shipped. Im about to get them but it will take a month to get here.

I went with BC Racing BR Series and I am very pleased with them - have a few old pictures.
I can check with them, if there should be any issues supporting the diesel and what springs.

Question Becksan. I know the BC coils you adjust the shock body for ride height, but if you make it very low then how does it reach from the top mount to the body link ? Am i missing something ?

Do/did any of you guys have 4matic? I wanted coils for mine, but nowhere I looked said they offer anything for 4matic. I think I read somewhere that the front mounted differently due to a different design to accommodate for the front drive axle.

If we are talking about the same thing - then these are included in the package.

I've heard of both of those companies. Hmm... maybe have to look into that for tax season. Although I wouldn't trust eBay to tell me what fits for what. I looked up spark plug part numbers this week and they said the part that's supposed to be for my car doesn't fit. Good looking out though!
