Battery location in 2010 E350

Where are the batteries located in a 2010 E350?
Went by Advance and their computer shows a battery for starter and computer that they can install. However, the other battery requires "professional installation." Person at advance says that means they probably would have to take parts off to get to it. So, probably would not do the installation.
About three years ago, Roadside Assistance replaced the one in car that had died. Would not start. Did it in my garage and I didn't hang around to watch (it was cold), but he did raise the hood to highest level and pretty sure he replaced the battery on the passenger side in engine compartment.
No problem with getting MB dealer to do it, but it is a 90 minute round trip, costs over $300 and has only a two year warranty. So, prefer the Advance deal.
Thanks for any help.

Depends on your options. The main battery is under the hood, like you said, and if you have Airmatic there's a battery under the floor liner in the trunk (passenger side of spare), and apparently there's an accessory battery next to the steering column that can be accessed by opening the door and opening the panel where the dash mates to the door panel (at least, that's where it was described to be... haven't checked myself).

As it concerns your vehicle starter battery in engine compartment, backup transmission selector lever battery @ instrument panel - check your email.

I think back in 2010 the main battery was first in the trunk on passenger side (not the ECO battery of course) but it moved later in the 2010 production (just before the 2011 models) to the engine compartment under the climate intake cowl.

Those same models had the aux. battery in the dash (driver side) for the tranny selector as konigstiger points out. However, what I am not sure of is does the aux. tranny battery in dash still exist after they started to include batteries in the trunk for cars with ECO mode.

Thank You!

Very much appreciated and I have saved the information.
May have to communicate with Advance via website re: correct battery from them. Appears the "starter and computer battery" is actually the one they can replace and what we old timers would call the main battery.
Guy at Advance did say they did install some of the "professional" ones if similar to what is in a VW and simple to do.

This does raise another question. How often do you need to replace the "backup" battery? Mine is now seven years old. I'm assuming there is a warning when it is about to die?
Thanks again for your information.
