Thinking of take the resonator off my 2014 E550

Just was wondering if anyone has any input on taking the resonator off. I'm thinking about doing it but worried it'd be too loud in the car or have an un pleasant droning sound inside. I'm guessing a few people have done it and was just wondering how it sounds after a while. And does this ward my current MB warranty or my aftermarket warranty I purchased? Thanks for any input in advance.

I agree. Not sure if it applies to you, but I took the resonator off my '99 C43 AMG (V8) and regretted it. It droned all the time and ruined the classy appeal of an MB sleeper. Sound wasn't that great. In the final analysis, this modification is a matter of personal taste.

Mine is removed, no drone at all.....sounds great...generally you'll get a drone if you mess with the mufflers....mine is NA tho

I removed both resonators on my 2012 e550 and its sounded practically the same as stock. The guys who are telling you it droned don't have twin turbos which drastically changes the way an exhaust sounds. If you take it off I guarantee you wont even notice a difference inside the car while driving and wish it was louder
