New to the forum - tried to search for the info but to no avail.


I just picked up a CPO 2014 E350. Enjoying the car very much. Can anyone tell me what the come current map data version is? I have 2013/2014 version 10.0 installed. The car has the Comand online NTG 4.5 system.

I also recently purchased a CPO E350. It would have been nice if they had updated the Maps to the most recent version prior to selling the vehicle. I was wondering why I was driving into oblivion.

249 for the updated maps, wow thought they would be a free download or something. I'll stick with Waze.

It's never been free although certain years had free updates for a couple of years. On the older platform you could just burn a copy but not on the w212.

Motivology

Never really used Navi, always used Google Maps for directions. I asked my SA about updating the Navi - he said it is not really worth it unless you really need it. He uses Google Maps instead as well (he and his wife own two MB BlueTec vehicles).

Consider where you drive and if new roads/construction are abundant. Otherwise there's nothing to change other than a new burger joint type of POI. Now that you can't just pop in a new DVD yourself, it's a good amount of money to do a pointless update.
