2014 E550...giveth & taken away
So I have been driving my dad's 2014 E550 4Matic for the past 2 months since he went to FL. He has a 2017 on order for his return so I was expecting to keep the '14. Unfortunately, his FL car has taken a turn for the worse and I am now in the process of shipping the E550 down to him. This is the best car I have ever driven...bar none. I am now looking for one of my own. Am I correct that the 2014 was the last year of the E550 (8 cyl)? For '15 & '16 the "big one" was the E400 (6 cyl) excluding the E63?

2013 E550, 2014 GLK 350
2014 for the sedan. I think they still make the V8 TT E550 in coupe & convertible forms.

The CLS550 is another option...

I prefer the sedan, but the M278 is what matters most to me.

And what an option it is - although it is nice to have a 2014 E550 - the car is a bit of a unicorn.
