Wheel Shopping
I have scoured through thread after thread on wheels and personal pics on here trying to figure out what style, color, and size wheels to go with on my 2014 W212 sedan, polar white, sport pkg. Currently OEM 18s, with brand new tires. So, not really in a hurry. Trying not to spend $4000 on a set either. But don't want cheap Chinese crap either. Ugh.
Edited port after some responses.
I am looking to go with 19s, and I actually would prefer squared up (non-staggered) due to me driving so much and the desire to rotate them to get the most mileage out of the tires. I keep reading that 19x8.5/19x9.5 with +45mm offset are what fits my car - but if I decide to square up, then what?
A local dealer here has these for my car...trying to decide. I'm wanting to retain most of the nice E-Class ride, while adding a slightly personalized look too.
Thoughts?
------1------------------2-------------------3--------------------4------------------5
or 6 = Giovanna Black 19s (added later)

I don't think any of them look Ghetto. It's your personal preference! Don't shy away from a nice used set. I'd rather have a lightly used set of HRE's or the like for less than a set of mid range offerings. Also, before you order, check with this forum for optimal offsets. The out of the book numbers seem to fall far outside of what looks best either being much too recessed and not flush, or some that would poke out too far and rub.
Are you going with a square setup (all the same width), or staggered? what wheel diameter? you'll get great info by posting those details up, or by searching on here.
Personally I like wheels with either a higher spoke count, or the face to have thicker spokes. My reasoning for this is that the rear calipers/rotors on the non-AMG cars are pretty small and it can look "empty" with a wide open pattern. Once again, that is just my opinion. I love the color choice on your car! I'd kill for mine to be white!

wheel design is a personal preference. i for one dont like the typical "5 spoke star". i see almost every car on the road with the same design. why bother changing if youd just be the same as the rest?
dont be afraid to be different when it comes to wheels. just remember. theyre the easiest thing to mod in a car and the fastest to go out of style too. goodluck mate.

Agree with both responses. I usually am a fan of the 5 spoke type wheels, but they just look out of place on these things.
I really am eye balling these...

I like! They have a really nice angular design and are more unique. Almost the reverse pattern of the Rohana RFX5's I've been considering to replace my Niche Misano's.

If i had to pick one i would go with #4.
The 5 spoke wheels look better with bigger and painted brake calipers because there is a lot of open space. If you do end up going with the 5 spoke, i would recommend painted your brake calipers. The Giovanna's would look better.
I would also suggest staying away from cheap replicas. I have tried them and experienced vibrations at high speeds.

Typo in his price (I'm guessing he is asking 2200), but off a new e class and in your area. VERY nice set of wheels. Negotiate the price down a bit if you can, if they have TPMS sensors in the set as well, it's a huge bonus. I almost bought this wheel for my car last year.... https://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/wto/5957444531.html

Yeah I'm really liking the Giovannas. Niche are good too. They have some nice ones. I think I'm against 5 spokes. You all are right. They just look weird. But I don't like lace looking ones either.

There are several categories of wheels, Low Pressure Cast, High Pressure Cast, rotary/Flow Formed, and Forged. (In order from low end to high end). As you work your way up, you typically increase strength and reduce weight...

Those ones on Craigslist really are a bit busy for my taste honestly. I have purchased cheap wheels before for other cars, and then ended up replacing them with better ones soon after. I'd rather not make that costly mistake again.

If you're looking to stay south of the $4k range why not go for a wheel that is from the industry standard when it comes to aftermarket wheels?
The HRE FF01's fall short of even $3k and come it 19" fitments for your W212.

Ok I found wheels, just need to figure out the offset.
Details:
My Car:
2014 E350 Sedan - Sport
OEM 18x8.5" ET48 - 245/40/18 x4
Proposed:
Niche Targa M131 - Silver
19x8.5" F - 245/35/19 ET???
19x9.5" R - 275/30/19 ET???
I would like to be either flush or slightly inward for drive ability.
I am seeing a few options for offset (ET)
F - either 34 or 42
R - either 35 or 50
Help is much appreciated! Looking to order the wheels today or tomorrow. Thanks!

Unfortunately these do not come bigger than 18" that you plan for. They do come in 18" and 17" that I got. Went to smaller rim to soften the ride a little bit and to a square setting to be able to rotate tires.
And the set of 17" cost only $600! Good quality rims too, no damage of any kind after almost 3 years.
I have the machined surface one, I don't like chrome finish on rims at all but added a picture as you seem to have it included in your pictures.

Hey bgruhn76,
I, too, have a (Diamond) White E --should be delivered tomorrow actually -- and looking to get some new (black) wheels for it. Do you recall the name/style of the Giovannas you posted?
