2014 e250 w212 heated seat factory install HELP
Hi folks New owner here. Bought the car without heated seats and am working on installing factory. I'm stuck. I have the elements in the seat installed and I have the block in the front installed but no wiring to go with it. I've looked for dead ends, hidden cables, all of the above and can't find any. So I have the components together but not the wiring. I have wiring schematics but can't trace any of the wire colors. So I'm stuck. I've done some research and there are older harnesses available for different models but don't know if it will do me any good. I can't locate any harnesses for this car to add the feature. Called the local dealership and he can't reference anything either. If anyone can shed some light on this for me, I would appreciate it. I've searched through these forums and others and can't find anything specific about this model car. Thanks.

I honestly thought every MB sold had heated seats. I wish you the best of luck. Sounds like a very painful exercise.

Most of them sold have the P1 package which had the heated seats. Every once in a while you find one that doesn't have that package, it's rarer in the US to not have it than to have it, but that may be because it's a FL or AZ car where heated seats wouldn't make sense or the dealer just ordered a stripped model to advertise. Who knows what they do in other countries.

Its crazy. The vin even pulled that it had heated seats. Dealer made it right by buying me the parts but I'm just in shock and awe that the wiring isn't there. That means they created a totally separate harness of thousands of wires and skipped the heated seat wires only. Its wacky. I found a great site eautorepair.net that you can purchase a one month subscription and gives you access to what the MB techs see with schematics, wire colors, etc. But boy, its a lot to go through.

The official MB site is Star Tekinfo.
https://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/subscribe2.jsp
They charge $60 for 24 hour access though. You can get a knock off dvd on eBay that has WIS (same as Star Tekinfo) and EPC for $10. EPC tells you what all the part numbers are once you put in the VIN.
