Slight jerk when going from Reverse to Drive?
My 2012 4matic sedan has almost 70,000 miles. Today I just noticed a slight jerk in the transmission after shifting from Reverse to Drive. I tested it a few times and I felt the jerk each time going from R>D. Is this an early sign of transmission failure? My car is out of warranty, so if it's an expensive repair I may just decide to look for a new car.
Please reply if you've had a similar problem. Thanks.

If you have not already done so ATF/filter change is due @ 70,000 – first step that “may” resolve problem.

I've only noticed that a couple of time when car is not level like when on a sloped driveway. However, on mostly level ground (i.e. most of Florida), I don't have that issue at all.

Just an update. The jerkiness problem when shifting from Reverse to Drive seems to have gone away. Maybe it was the cold temperatures. The past few days of driving it I did not notice a jerk when going from R to D. Hopefully, it was nothing.
Thanks.
