Navigation Question 2016 Wagon

I have a new 2016 wagon. Love it but getting used to newer comand systems. This is my fourth wagon plus e class sedan and s class but first time that I see no "address book" or "memory" menu for entering stored destinsions. I understand and have paired my phone and contact list which has its own problems because my Nav does not recognize the way my phone stores certain addresses, abbreviations, etc.. That's fine but I've never had a Nav that I couldn't enter an address, save it to "memory" or "address book" and then go to "destinations" and under sub-menu for "address from memory" find it and start navigation.

Is this right? What am I missing or is the only way to navigate from stored addresses is via the phone contacts (samsung note)?

Thanks, very frustrating for places I drive to but don't need numbers or emails like colleges, arenas, stores, etc that are not POI's.

Well, I've learned a lot and can now answer my own question. Apparently the Nav submenu "contacts" is a combination of your phone contacts plus anything you've added from your car directly. For example, if you don't have your phone with you and bring up "contacts" on the Nav it only shows saved destinations that have been entered through Comand, it will not have your last set of contacts from your phone. So "contacts" is really a combination of two separate lists; it is your current phone contacts plus it is the same thing that mb used to call "destination from memory" , or "stored destinations" or "address book" entries that you made from the car but if you forget your phone you only have the latter.
