Parktronic wrong sensor installed?
I just took the front bumber off to replace a broken PTS-sensor in front.
SDS system indicated the center left sensor as the one with issue.
So i replaced that with a new one (same exact part number as the old one).
Now the SDS indicates the sensor working (real time value is correct), but now i get fault code 924E4A - sensor 3, wrong sensor installed.
How can this be? I mean, i used the exact same part number as replacement sensor..
And the fault code comes right back after resetting it, so the partktronic wont work.
And the weird thing is, at the same time i also replaced 2 sensors in the rear bumper with the same part number, and they work!

Aftermarket, has mercedes part number on it but not the MB logo in front of the number.
Could the new sensor have different resistance value or the part number is coded into the sensor? Thats the only thing i can think of that could explain the fault code..
