Any one know if the 2014 w212 e200 have a heater control valve?
There are good tutorials on how and where this valve is located on this forum but only for w211 cars.
Is it at the same place as the w211?
Having issues with the ac. No heat on driverside...
Thanks

Thanks for replying, as stated there is no heat on the driverside - all of the vents on the right side blows from cold "AF" to cold raging from LO to HI on the ac controls. While on passenger side it's normal function.
The Norwegian MB dealer were not 100% sure on what it could be, they changed a steppermotor but with no avail. Then they said that it could be the heater matrix, but again they were not sure.
There is allot of good tips and tricks on this forum regarding a/c issues but on the w211. So I have done the following. Filled up the refrigerant in the ac. Checked the sensor on the overhead console and filled up the coolant.
So in regard to your answer: which one of these work as the heater control valve?
And sorry to say but the Norwegian MB dealership are not so helpful when you ask them about mending your own car. They want to do it and charge you all the way. I guess it's like this all over the world...
The estimated price the gave on the job for changing the heater matrix was from 20000kr to over 30000kr and with no warranty that it would fix the issue... In us dollars it's 2400$ to 3600$...
So I really hope it's something I can fix... Thank you

Selecting the defrost button makes the windshield vent blow at full speed but it blows cold air on the right side of the windshield and warm on the left.
Yes you are right, my mistake. It was getting late here and I mixed left and right... So defrost blast air trough the windshield vents. Cold on the left and normal operation (warm) on the rightside.
Again sorry.
About the steppermotor it was not stated witch one they had changed.

I have posted the 99% chance fix several times now, and this will be the last time. There is a stuck flap on your driver's flap. Lower you temperature to the lowest then back to the hottest until the flap lubricates itself into working.

After trying your 99% chance thing, for atleast 50 times, I understood that I am at that 1% left. But as you told, that it is totally flap fault, I used endoscope thrue middle vents to look at them. And I found something that noone would ever guessed. There was stuck pencil in ac flap actuator. I don’t know what previous owner was doing or thinking and how it is even possiple to throw it in there. But after 4 hours of extremely hard work of picking it out, problem was fixed. Of course flaps needed new calibration, but after that, heat is coming as new.
Hopefully noone would need to use my experience, but it was something that was making lot of problems for me.

I have tried many many times and still not hot air, only warm and if i turn up the speed it goes cold again.
Does anyone have a picture of the location of the valve, i heard giving it a gentle tap might work.. typical it stops working in this crappy weather!

Definitive diagnose have someone with Xentry (MB diagnostics) erase stored codes and do a quick test to pull current codes. Reluctant to do so, see attachment for flap actuator discussed. BTW 207 should be posting here: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-c...brio-a207-141/
