So on Friday March 10, around 3:30pm EST - this happened at my office. Was a dying tree that should have been cut down. It's being taken care of. I have a rental car while Roberts Collision in Clearwater, FL repairs everything...even OEM windshield. Luckily the hood wasn't dented at all, and they were able to wet sand and buff it out. Not so much though for the roof and A-Pillars. Hope to have it back early next week, or sooner.
Wow.....This makes me angry just the sight of it. This sux, hopefully everything works out ok. The thing that makes me frustrated even more is if you've financed this, damage like that can make a dent in the value down the line.
Yeah, I'm still very upset about it all. But nothing can be done to change it. So it will be fixed and I move on. They are installing my E63 rear diffuser and tips for me at least. :-)
we have a lot of those incidents down here as we have heaps of half a century trees that the council dont wanna remove. i try to park as far away from trees whenever i can.
sorry to see this happen to your car mate. look on the bright side, you get your E63 diffuser installed. something to look forward to. goodluck!
If the tree visibly has dead areas and if any dead limbs fell on your car then the owner of the tree is responsible for repairs. If the tree was healthy and winds caused the tree to break then your insurance covers it. I have been on both sides of this several times.
Just spoke with the body shop. Since the roof is being painted anyway, and they are replacing one of those roof rails, I'm asking them to gloss black the roof and antenna. Going to have paint work anyway. Screw it right. lol

Here's the tree. It was struck by lightning a while back and was recommended to be cut down. They opted not to spend the money to do so. They are now cutting it, and several others down, due to safety concerns. Gee thanks right? A little late now.

I'll post up pics when I get her back.
Nice, better than getting it wrapped. Unless you decide later to go back.

Is the property manager covering this or is your insurance and they'll go after them?
yep . i was gonna say that if you want any changes different from how the stock car should look you would have to pay extra , unless you know people at that shop that could hook it up and not trip about extra money since they still will get paid by insurance.
been there done that lol
good luck with repairs.
Aww...they won't do the black for free. So it'll be white again. Vinyl wrap it is I guess.
Wrap is probably a better option as it can be removed when you sell or trade, as that look is not for everyone and it's better to stay close to stock. Will look good either way
You can go back to your insurance and file for "diminished value" for the car. Essentially this means that even though the car is repaired, it is worth less since it has been in an accident. My wife's new Avalon was damaged in a parking lot fender bender while it was parked and the insurance (USAA) ended up stroking her a check for around 800. Better than nothing...
And since it happened on a commercial property, they should have covered it or at least should cover any deductible. Especially since the tree had issues and they refused to deal with them or cordon off the spaces by it.
