Radio frequency changes after bump
I have a new issue with my 2011 e350. I currently subscribe to Sirius radio and listen mainly to news stations. Recently, when I go over a noticeable bump in the road my radio changes frequency - meaning if I am on Satalite it goes to FM or if I am on FM it goes to AM. I have no problem changing it back by using the command dial in the console. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Sounds like a loose connection. Where that connection is will be the tough part to find. It sounds like it's the switch that changes input setting based on what you described it switching from Sat to FM to AM. Could be on the steering wheel or in the command knob itself. I don't believe there is a button on the head unit that switches between inputs, there are individual buttons for that.

Thanks apg231. I was thinking there could be an issue with the command knob assembly. Just thought I would post on the forum to see if anyone would chime in. It doesn't happen enough for me to need to dig into it right now as it only happens when I go over a "noticeable" bump in the road. Living in the northeast makes avoiding road imperfections a full time job!
