Changing diffuser?
Gents, seeing conflicting info on a difusser swap...In searching some say there are rivets and others are saying you use clips...what's involved in the remove and replace? Thanks!!!

The pre-2014 models just use clips I believe (I had a 2009 c-class that was similar)
The "Facelifted" 2014 models have a lot more to them. Mine required rivets, clips, and an annoying amount of modification.. lol
Your profile says you have a 2010 E. You shouldn't have much trouble. It's a tight fit, and you'll want an extra set of hands for removal and installation, but you should be able to install it within 1-2hrs. (Depending on how slow you go) It shouldn't be more than a few clips and a bolt or two on the mounting bracket (provided I'm remembering accurately)

If you are in the Boston area I have a 2014 E63 AMG S diffuser and tips I am selling. When I did the catback the shop said they didn't want to deal with it (my guess is what Magicman is referring to) so I kept the factory one.

sleeperZ96BT, if you still have the AMG diffuser and the tips, please let me know as I am about 30 minutes away from Boston. If it makes it easier you can text or call me!

Hey its not the best idea to post your number so open, you should just delete it and send it to him in a private message.

Can you remove pre-face-lift diffuser without removing the bumper? I heard you have to remove the bumper I've sort of tried to take it out once, but I didn't try very hard, couldn't figure it out on the first shot though.

The 2010 W212 Sedan has both rivets and clips. The rivets are located at the furthest corners (tips) of the diffusers with clips along the rest. FYI - my Euroteck diffuser fits horribly along the corners. Research carefully. Removing the bumper is the best way to go about the installation. Good Luck.
