Haha I found this on PennDOT's website:

http://www.penndot.gov/ContactUs/Pag...ge-Claims.aspx

I love that part about everyone has a right to file a claim but PennDOT is "REQUIRED to deny the claim". Thank you for respecting my right to file it though....

I "lost" 3 windshields before they finished about 8 miles of freeway. Made internet claims to never hear from them.
Yeah, I never bothered to report my bent rim, I figured it was a lost cause.

Any wheel problem

Anyway, I have an appointment with Merc on Thursday, will see how it'll turn out.

Well, after bending or cracking rims #7 and 8 in 18 months (and this is on top of the four new rims the dealer had to install just to sell the car under CPO) I quit. My car is now riding on a full set of these cheap-*** repops. I figure if anything else, maybe having them made more cheaply means SOMETHING is different (didn't care about weight reduction? Different alloy?) and maybe they'll be less likely to bend. Maybe. In any case they're less than half the price of factory replacements, all of which of mine have been repaired, some multiple times. We will see.

I had 2 of the repops on since about October and just installed the other two. They are not exactly the same as factory rims but you'd really have to look hard to see the subtle differences. I just made sure for a couple months I had two factory rims on one side and two repops on the other.

Fingers crossed.

I've gotten lucky with a couple of used OEM wheels for around $180-200 but bent those too, in short order. Just got sick of it. I figure for how cheap these are I can give them a shot, and if it's still not working I'm just getting a set of OEM Audi wheels. My '09 S5 with 19" wheels is still on all four originals with no issues whatsoever, driving just as much on the same roads as the MB.

I should add these are brand new. They are NOT exact reproductions but you need to put the two wheels side by side to notice any differences. Most notable is the location of the valve stem.

Mercedes is the main culprit here. They seem to be making a business out of replacing wheel rims. One replacement at the dealership is $1.2k, what a complete joke.
I purchased my 2019 A220 CPO with only 8k miles on it a few months ago.
Im at 15k miles on this Mercedes and didn't go over any major potholes, certainly not as bad as the once's I went over in PA with my BMW 320i driving in Pennsylvania for 3 years and over 50k miles with similar low profile tires.
The TPM was showing low tire pressure, turns out it's a cracked wheel.
If you have this issue about your rims cracking, please report to the NHTSA - they apparently need a few complaints before they look into an issue.
