Driver window all the way up....then down an inch

2010 E550. Every time I roll the driver side window all the way up it instantly goes down 1" by itself. Then I roll it up all the way and it stays. Every time.

Any ideas?

Reset the window. Roll it up by holding the switch, then when it reaches the top, pull the button all the way up and hold for 5-10 sec, that should reset it if I remember correctly.

This happens to me at least once a week. I have an OCD habit of starting the car and pulling up on all 4 windows. Sometimes one drops. Most of the time it doesn't.

Hello, my name is thefisch and I have a problem.

This procedure did not work.

I also noticed the one touch window up does not work either

Anymore suggestions?

Try disconnecting the battery completely for 10-15 minutes, then connect it and follow that reset procedure again.

When you raise the window up DO NOT RELEASE THE SWITCH. Keep holding it for 10 seconds then release.

I don't pull the button up all the way at the end. I hold it just below that point for an extra second or two after it reaches the top. I hear a very quiet click and then I let go. I've developed a knack for it so it is second nature now. The first few times I tried it didn't take.
