So for some reason my fuel tank door just wouldn't close properly so I was jimmying around with it and it popped right off. I noticed the plastic prong type things fell that were holding it onto the plastic frame. Anyone have any ideas? Should I super glue it or get some adhesive to stick it back on?

It slides on and off those plastic mounts. Mine came off a couple times when cleaning the inside of gas tank door; I just slid it back on. Thought about putting glue on the plastic mounts but didn't. It holds just fine if I don't mess with it much, won't fall off while driving, so I don't see the need. Wonder why MB designed it that way.

A non-latching fuel door is very common on these cars. Read this to properly position the gas cap cable so the door will shut completely.
