Has anyone done this? Pics of setup or sound clip if you do would be great!

Been thinking about exhaust options for my 2010 E550 and the exhaust prices are up there in price. From what I've read removing the resonators and using x-pipes doesn't make much difference. Deleted rear mufflers seem to sound great, but it would be nice to be quieter if needed. I'm thinking that if the electric exhaust cutouts fit it would be the best of both worlds...

Im very interested, just about to do a 1,500KM road trip. Wouldn't mind have a temporary loud exhaust when cruising up the rocky mountains

I want to do this with my 4.7tt as well... But I'm buying a house and money is tight this year. Maybe it'll be my Christmas present to myself...

Still on the wall about attempting them. Local shop said they can easily install them if there is enough room. Been researching the product and there are a ton of threads w/ Cadillac V's installing them. Nothing for the W212. They even have the cutouts remote configured to the V's HomeLink system!

At ~$500+ install for the cutouts. Are there any other exhaust options? Seems like all e550 exhaust systems are in the $3k+ price range!
