Air re-circulation with engine off
I know many other cars do when you turn off the engine while AC running (re-circulation off). And vice versa, with re-circulation on, the outside air gets blocked from getting in with engine off/car parked.
It's very useful. During winter, you can close it to keep the freezing air from getting in and open in summer to let some fresh air in/heat out.

Unlike other cars(non-luxury ones), which stays on..!
I have a habit of switching the AC off before turning the engine off. With windows closed, the temperature inside the car can easily reach over 120 degrees within an hour in Texas summer. But since the last few days I've been turning off the engine with AC running (with re-circulation off) and I've noticed very less heat inside the car when parked open under Texas sun. I want it open for the heat to escape just like other cars do. I need a confirmation from someone..

For a while, I was obsessing over the smell in my AC system and would open the cowl from time to time. IIRC it was normally closed even though I typically don't turn re-circ on while driving.
EDIT - just checked and the recirc flap was open (i.e not on). So I guess my memory is bad. Well, it is the second thing to go...
