You didn't specify whether you have pre-facrlift model or facelift model.
I have dynamic seat on my facelift model, and I can tell you the controls are in COMAND, not on the seat. So it'll more than likely require complete reprpgramming, something which is likely impossible or not cost effective.

Yes and on the facelift model there is a special button in the center console that provides direct access to the seat functions via COMMAND that would need to be installed and programmed. I prefer the COMMAND screen seat function controls over the previous controls mounted at the seat, which you had to operate blind.

Are you trying to resurrect a totaled car?

You're doing an awful lot of work on a car for an accident that wasn't your fault.

To be on the safe side, I would match the part numbers, or just get a seat from a 2014.

Wow. I'm wondering the same...if the accident was the other person's fault, then why are you doing all the legwork.

Unless you or the driver didn't have insurance?
Or the driver's insurance company paid you for a full/new seat replacement, and you are trying to pocket the money and circumvent the system :-)

yea man i wish. the person who hit me has a maximum of 10k payout for property damage on his insurance i got that exact amount. i don't want to file a claim with my full coverage to get the 1100 needed. if i buy this seat done deal if not need to pay for each airbag and the pia install on em both. rather just swap the entire seat. i have a lawyer to get the rest out of the driver. i already got the door replaced and body work done they told me it should be ready by end of the week. he wanted to charge me 2300 for the airbags for 2k for the seat. what a joke. thank for the help. I finally got someone to help me out at the dealer parts dpt, told me seat and airbags are same and will work. so wish me luck. ill have the seat by tom

That stinks, but in the long run you could be plagued by more problems and hassles if you run into install issues. I would use the shop and just subrogate through my insurance or sue for the claim - that way I am on the road and my car is fine. In my experience, subrogation is the least hassle.

I would think if you have a 2010-2013 that you would have to go with the same model year seat. Not sure what year to you have.
