W212 Xenon headlamp motor
Hi all!
I just bought myself an W212 2009 E350 CDI with adaptive ILS headlights.
I noticed that the headlamp motor that adjusts the light position has failed.
There are new actuators on eBay but there are several different motors that is said to fit and I don't know which one to pick. Has anyone got an image of a disassembled xenon headlight so that I would know which motor to order from ebay? I wouldn't like to disassemble the headlight and wait weeks for the adjustment motor
Thanks in advance!

You need EPC-net or call up the local dealer. They probably hate to give out part numbers if you don't buy it there. They go by the VIN number, once you have that, you should be able to get EPC-net to spit it out or maybe some kind soul here will look it up for you. It's about $75 in the US for a one year subscription, no idea what it is in Finland. You can also get a knock off DVD on Ebay for around $10 that will have WIS and EPC. WIS gives you repair documents, not sure how they do it in Finland.
As for the 2009, lots of foreign countries get cars before the US. Many manufacturers do that on purpose so they can work out some of the bugs before it hits a major market like the US.

Yes this is a W212, in Europe we got it in 2009.
I have EPC, it however just shows the complete headlight assembly and not the inner parts so it is impossible to distinguish what motor to use.
There seems to be 2 motors:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MERCEDES-W21...sAAOSwXrhXmhCE
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-C-E...4AAOSwnHZYl0ON
It might be possible that the other one is for the vertical and the other for the horizontal movement.
Maybe I'll just order both and cross my fingers that one of them would fit... That's a lot cheaper than a new headlight anyway.
