Middle console air bubble armrest air bubble

Hey everyone,

Can any one explain how air bubbles in middle console happen?

I got my car back from a collision shop and saw this the same day I got it back and what looked like an elbow indent ( i can't see the indent anymore because the bubble expanded out more ) and its in the front of the middle console towards the radio and I don't put my elbow/arm in that area at all. I do know the collision shop took my car down to another shop driving and even had my radio station changed when I got my car back.

The collision center said they cannot fix it and said it wasn't them. I actually examined the middle console before I dropped the car at the collision shop and saw no bubbles before.

Do you think it randomly happens in areas or does an arm have to rest/move in that area for this to happen

if you see the air bubble again take a picture of it. It will give people an idea what you are talking about and they may have a solution.

And to answer your question..
I think that happens if you press too hard on it with your elbow and possibly pressing on it for a lil period of time. .. my opinion. But might be something else.

I believe the problem may be with adhesive below. Common problem across 211, 221 most if not all have had success with following DIY method.

Carefully heat the area where the bubble is with heat gun or hair dryer. May look worse but when you take a wet cloth and wipe it should shrink back to normal size. Then wipe it with a dry cloth. When you use heat on it this causes it to expand, when you use water to cool it back down it retracts to its original size.

thank you- it seems it is an adhesive issue
