Battery replacement?
i have a 2012 E350 with 8,100 miles on it. rarely driven. after sitting for 6 weeks i had to jump the battery. took car to tire store for a nail and the battery is dead again.
this shop can replace the battery, but should i take it in to the dealership? anything else i need to be aware of?
i do not know a thing about cars. thanks for any help!

W212 seem to have '"bulletproof battery disconnect" program, meaning you don't need to reset anything, but leaving it to grease or tire monkey did lead to cross-connecting and lot of $$$$$ flying.
If you give them the job, make sure it is going to be senior mechanic.

sometimes windows, sunroof and clocks need to be reset! call roadside (24hrs) and save the dealer trip hassle for another day. its free and usually same cost if out of warranty to replace. number is inside vanity mirror lid 800for mercedes

2014 E550-sold 😩
Good for you. There are those who believe the sun stops in it's orbit if you should dare replace the battery yourself. There is nothing magical about the battery replacement in one of these W212 cars.
