Red face Paint color to patch up bumper scratches

I have a 2011 E350 silver - scratches on bumper. Yes, I backed into a concrete bollard. Has anyone repaired their own bumper? What paint/color to buy? Is there a filler that works well? The estimate I got was $600, so I think it will be DIY. Any tips you can offer greatly appreciated! Silver nail polish is hiding the embarassement for now. I can't find the paint color anywhere on the door/jambs.

Use a Vin decoder like this one:

https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Mercedes-Benz

Once you have the paint code, you can look it up online and buy from any vendor. Also many auto paint vendors will also list the colors used by year, but it's best to use the code found with the vin decoder as there are probably several different versions of silver out there.

I use Dr Color Chip for rock chips and scratches. When I get done, you can't tell they were there. They match factory color codes. I tried the paint marker from the dealer that has other end of the it is clear coat, It looked horrible.

Dr Chip is pretty good for touch up paint. To get it perfect though you would need actual body work done. 600 Is actually super cheap. My area would charge 750-850 for a repaint on the bumper.

I tried it myself and thought the same thing. The silver paint typically fades quite a bit over time. As such, a brand new paint won't match the old paint. I tried Dr. Colorchip also. While it works the color is still just a bit off. So, I only use it if the chip is less than a 1/4 of an inch.
