Media device

I can get my E-350 to recognize my Samsung Galaxy S7 for use as a phone, but it doesn't recognize it as a media device for listening to podcasts, playing music, etc. Any idea how to get it to work?

On your dash, press the disc button until the Bluetooth device option comes up. Then got to the bottom of the screen and chose “connect device” and find your S7. See if that works.

You can also go into bluetooth settings on your phone and check to see if media protocol is enabled on the BT profile for the car. Don't have the S7, but if you press the cog/settings icon next to the MB Bluetooth profile you should see the option for media. If you don't, then I would delete the pairing on the phone and car and then set it up using external authorization under the BT phone menu in the car. On my 2011, that is under options to the right side when you pull up the phone list.
