2014 E350 COMMAND System Frustrations

2014 E350 COMMAND System Frustrations
I have a 2014 GLK350 and a 2014 E350 Coupe.
I have two major complaints:
• The COMMAND system in the GLK350 can automatically pickup my iPhone 7 Plus and start playing as soon as I start the car. The E350 Coupe, I always have to hit Connect Last Device for it to start going. Why does it do that?!
• Straight forward and easy to mute the navigation announcements on the GLK, on my E350, I can only get this *****ing Betty to shut up when I hit the mute button. In the Nav drop down menu, I have unchecked each of the "Announcement" options. How can I make mute permanent?

It's probably too late for this coupon for $100 off $200 (They seem to do it once or twice a year) as it expires Oct 15th, but maybe you can call and they'll extend it for you.

Anyway, just take it into the dealer and ask for firmware updates because you're having problems with the bluetooth/phone. They normally won't just update the firmware unless you mention specific problems you're having. Also the other option is to delete the entry on the phone and on the car and pair it again. Sometimes that fixes strange problems.
